Massillon captured the 2023 Division II State Championship with a 7-2 victory over Akron Hoban, while finishing nationally in the Top 25 in several ranking publications. It was the Tigers’ 25th state title overall. Ten players were named All-Ohio. Head Coach Nate Moore was named Ohio Division II Co-Coach of the Year and Maxpreps.com National Coach of the Year. With a 16-0 record, Massillon moved into a second place tie for total historic wins in the country, while also defeating Valdosta, Georgia, the current Number 1 team. Finally, the Tigers defeated Lakewood St. Edward, the 2023 State Champion in Division I.
