PRESIDENT’S LETTER
I would like to thank you for coming out to tonight’s game and supporting our Massillon Tigers! I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ed Starcher and I will be your 2024 Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club (MTFBC) president. I am a 1989 graduate of Washington High School. My motto for this year’s season is TIG4EVER. I believe that once a Tiger, always a Tiger for life. What we have here in Massillon is something truly special and I would like to invite you all to be part of it. The Granddaddy of all booster clubs. It is a way for you to be part of our team and help with some of the exciting projects we do every day to help our Tigers. Activities include: working with club membership drives, discount card sales, Monte Carlo night, spring kickoff, concessions for varsity track and junior high football, Tiger lift-a-thon, Tiger golf outing and a number of other projects we have going on every day. These are all events that we could use your help to keep our Tigers fed and looking great. It helps to continue our great tradition by setting the gold standard bar for all other football booster club programs.
Being part of the MTFBC is an opportunity to not only help the Tigers but also get close to the team and cultivate friendships with fellow Tigers in helping keep our program elite and unlike any other. We would like to welcome you and any new and fresh ideas you might have and hope you will consider being part of it. The 2024 season looks to be another outstanding schedule with the Tigers opening up in Oregon at the Nike Classic against the NFL Football Academy. That is followed by several high powered out of state teams from the New Jersey, Washington DC, and Florida areas.
The Tigers travel to defending Division I champs St.Edward Eagles this season and then finish up at home with the team from the east. This season will no doubt be a very challenging schedule for our Tigers. But I’m positive our team will give us another season we won’t soon forget.
Massillon football is part of us all. We have something very special here in Massillon that sets us apart from the rest of the world. That is why we are known all over this great country of ours. I am so very proud and honored to be the 2024 Tiger Booster Club president. I was raised here, went to school here and now I get to be the Tiger Booster Club president and share my love for this program with everyone.
