Noteworthy Items: With just 27 seconds remaining in the game, “Dutch” Hill crossed the goal line on fourth down from one yard out to tie the score against a formidable Cleveland Shaw eleven. Bill Edwards’ PAT was good and that proved to be the difference in a 7-6 Massillon victory. The win preserved what would become the Tigers’ first undefeated season since 1916 and allowed Massillon to lay claim to their third state championship.
