Noteworthy Items: (1) The 100th Massillon-McKinley game was a wild, overtime affair, won by the Tigers 42-41. However, the Bulldogs would reverse these fortunes two weeks later in the playoffs, winning 27-20. (2) Prior to the second McKinley game, Massillon played a spirited affair with Fremont Ross, led by future pro Charles Woodson. The Tigers withstood Woodson’s 231 yards rushing / four touchdown effort to win the game 35-28.
