Noteworthy Items: (1) The Tigers were behind Canton McKinley at the half 14-0, mimicking that of the previous year. But once again Massillon rallied, winning the game 18-14, which was the 9th straight victory over the Bulldogs and Coach Earle Bruce’s 43rd consecutive career win.  The Tigers finished with a perfect season and a consecutive state title.  Theys also placed 2nd in the national poll. (2) Following the season, Bruce accepted an assistant coaching position with The Ohio State University. Later coaching stops would include head stints at Tampa, Iowa State and OSU.
