Noteworthy Items: (1) Down 19-7 at the half, the Tiger stormed back to take a 40-19 decision over Barberton. (2) Alliance was 7th in the state at the time Massillon defeated them 27-21.  Back-to-back touchdowns via kickoff returns, 105 yards by John Francisco and 77 yards by Lee Nussbaumer, turned the trick.  (3) The Tigers captured their 6th national championship.
