Noteworthy Items: (1) Massillon and Canton McKinley met twice, with the Tigers winning both times. The mid-season clash was a make-up from 1962 when the Bulldogs’ season was canceled due to illegal recruiting. (2) Massillon defeated Struthers, 74-0. The head coach of Struthers was Bob Commings, who became mentor of the Tigers in 1969.
