Noteworthy Items: (1) The Tigers defeated three teams from Pennsylvania: McKeesport, Sharon and New Castle. Sharon had its 17-game winning streak broken. New Castle suffered its worst defeat in 16 years. (2) Massillon mounted three goal-line stands to preserve a 12-0 victory over previously-undefeated Canton McKinley. Marion Motley, current McKinley and future Cleveland Brown running back, was held to just 28 yards. It was the last Tiger game played at Massillon Field.
