Coach Jones was a graduate of Mt. Union College

Sidney Jones was the first faculty member to coach the Tigers in 1912, and his second season as coach in 1913 was the year that
the Bulldogs became the final opponent of each campaign.

As has been mentioned before, the coaching could not have been better. Coach Jones labored tirelessly throughout the season and brought out the best there was in the team. In addition to this he acted as faculty manager, with Edward Johns as student manager. Under their capable direction the team was well taken care of.
