Jeff Bricker
The 2008 season ushered in the Jason Hall Era, as he was hired as the 26th head football coach in the history of the Tiger Football Program.
Booster Club President Jeff Bricker formally introduced Coach Hall at the Spring Kickoff. A large number of Tiger faithful listened to Coach Hall outline his philosophy as well as fielding questions.
A busy summer of camps culminated in late July with national media outlet ESPN descending on Massillon, Ohio, as one of the twenty towns and cities across the USA to be considered as “Titletown” USA. Thousands of Tiger fans braved a heavy rainstorm to make the case for Tigertown to be “Titletown” USA.
The Tigers went 6-4 during the regular season, where they beat Warren Harding in Warren 30- 7. It had been 22 years since the Tigers won in Warren. In week ten against McKinley at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium the Tigers played with high emotion and defeated the Bulldogs 17-0, the first shutout over McKinley since 1982. The Tigers qualified for the playoffs, but were defeated at North Canton Hoover 14-7.
Jeff Bricker wrapped up a busy year for the Booster Club at the Football Banquet, thanking many for their support and paid special tribute to PA announcer for the Tigers for his 30 years behind the microphone.
